Governor Soludo expressed his deepest sympathies for the passing of the late Chief of Army Staff, who passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the age of 56, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Christian Aburime.
Given his admirable contribution to the nation’s security growth, the governor said the Army chief’s passing is a great loss to the Nigerian Army and the country as a whole.
As a testament to General Lagbaja’s unwavering dedication to the unity and advancement of the country, Governor Soludo confirmed that his outstanding leadership of the Nigerian Army will be uniquely remembered.
He noted that the Late Army Chief’s leadership in Benue State Operation ZAKI, Lafiya Dole, Udoka, and Forest Sanity will be remembered forever, while also recognizing his dedication to peace and stability.
He asked the All-Powerful God to give General Lagbaja eternal rest.
