Globacom and its partners have given N1 million checks to the most recent winners of the exciting monthly Glo Jolly Win contest. This is on top of the daily data and airtime bonuses that other Glo users who participate in the program get.

Following the symbolic presentation of their checks, five winners at the monthly presentation ceremony in Lagos were promptly credited with their winnings. The first person to win N1 million in the September promotion was Olieh Somtochukwu, a realtor from Anambra State.
Tetragrammaton, the value-added service provider for these services, and Nitroswitch, an aggregator company licensed by the NCC, are collaborating with Globacom to carry out the offer.
One of the winners, Mrs. Adebayo Idowu, would have gotten her check at the initial presentation in September if she hadn’t questioned the legitimacy of the promotion. Even after several talks, including video chats, she was hesitant to acknowledge that she had won a million naira.
Mrs. Adebayo, a recently retired school teacher, was present with the new group of winners to finally get her prize after she eventually came to believe it. The other winners were the mechanical engineer Abiodun Oluwasanmi Temitayo, the teacher Ashimiu Aminat Idowu, the corporate driver Abdul Mumuni Oseni, and the Lagos-based printing and publishing agent Sanni Ganiu Bayo. “The Glo Jolly Win is a lottery service in which subscribers can answer trivia questions or spin a wheel to win loads of airtime, data, and cash prizes for as low as N100/day, without needing to download anything or use any storage space on their phones,” explained Mojeed Aluko, manager of Globacom’s Value Added Services division, in reference to the lucrative promotion.
