The Fidelity Bank “Read2Lead” Writing Competition is won by Iremide Ogunyemi.

Students from over Nigeria participated in the competition, which featured three stages of writing challenges, and they won N1 million for first and second place, respectively.

During the initial phase of the program, called “The National Writing Showdown,” more than 3,000 kids competed in a creative writing assignment to be placed in the top 150 writers. The top 150 competitors in the second round, dubbed “The Sweeta Writing Mastery,” were given a novel to read and asked to compose a different conclusion in order to have a chance to advance to the top 30 finalists.

A writing boot camp supervised by seasoned writers and facilitators, who chose the top three finalists, was offered to the top 30 students in the third and final round, which was entitled “The Author’s Workshop.”
