Redesigning its SuperSport variety channels, MultiChoice Nigeria, a leading pay-TV provider, has announced that the changes will be implemented on GOtv starting on October 9.

With this update, the current portfolio will see exciting additions that will improve the sports viewing experience for customers. SuperSport Action, a new channel, will be launched to provide viewers with access to a wider variety of sporting events, such as UFC and more Champions League games. The current SuperSport Select Channels will be rebranded as SuperSport Africa.
Tope Oshunkeye, Executive Head of Marketing at MultiChoice West Africa, discussed the redesign and said that sports fans will be able to enjoy a lively blend of top-notch highlights, reruns of pertinent sports, boxing matches, and much more on the new channels. “The channel makeover is a component of our continuous endeavors to improve our sports portfolio and offer our patrons more unrivaled sports content that speaks to them. The newest sports news from around the world will be shown on the new channels, but with an emphasis on programming created especially for African audiences.
This covers UFC events, local boxing, in-depth analysis, and a wide range of other interesting information. Our goal is to always provide our consumers with the best athletic activity possible, and we’re always looking for new ways to make them happy by giving them more options, engaging live content, and excellent value, according to Oshunkeye.
The following adjustments will be made to all GOtv packages as a result of the revamp: Select 2 (Channel 64) on GOtv Jinja & GOtv Jolli Packages will be replaced by Africa. On Channels 63 and 64 of the GOtv Max Package, SS Africa and SS Africa 2 will take the place of Select 1 and Select 2. Select 1 and Select 2 will be replaced by SS Africa and SS Africa 2, and on GOtv Supa & SupaPlus Packages, Select 3 (Channel 69) will be replaced by SS Action.
Customers can use the MyGOtv App or phone *288# to subscribe, reconnect, or upgrade in order to take advantage of these exciting new options. Customers who want to watch their favorite sports programs on the fly can now download the GOtv Stream app.
