We have just received a report of an unfortunate incident involving the collapse of a block of six classrooms without a roof at Eghereka Primary School, Ewu Town, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.

The school has not been in use for over a decade,” he stated. Reportedly, the decaying structure gave way in the intense downpour, resulting in the tragic death of a second-grade student, Ojiyovwin Salvation, and the injuries of three more.
“The Governor commiserates with the family of the deceased pupil, the management and staff of the school as well as other pupils injured in the unfortunate incident”. Governor Oborevwori praised the swift actions that resulted in the prompt rescue of the injured students.
He also stated that Dr. Lucky Avweromre, the chairman of the Local Government Council, had visited the scene to provide the necessary support to the victims who were still alive after the building collapsed, and he had also visited the family of the deceased student.
