Since the initiative’s launch in 2021, more than 1,500 customers have benefited from the ongoing Reward4Saving Promo, which aims to encourage a culture of saving among Nigerians by identifying and rewarding those who consistently save.

In his welcome speech, Executive Director Stanbic IBTC Olu Delano stated that the event shows the bank’s dedication to its many clients. Over the past few years, hundreds of thousands of the bank’s clients have attended and profited from the promotion, and today they are honoured to honour 84 clients.

Additionally, according to Delano, the bank has been working to promote a savings culture and habit since 2021. One beneficiary has been saving with the bank for fifteen years, and another for ten. The bank’s customers have benefited from this habit of doing things consistently over time.

He continued by thanking his consumers for their support. Stanbic IBTC’s mission is to help its clients live better lives, albeit only temporarily, and their clients have been doing incredibly well over the years.

While thanking Stanbic IBTC, Afolabi Saheed, a two-time winner of the promotion, said he didn’t believe the call he received while sleeping that he had won 2 million Naira in the reward4savings promo. He then started receiving calls from the bank, and eventually he arrived at the train station in Lagos with a first-class ticket that the bank had sponsored.

Still apprehensive, he called his wife to let her know where he was, and only later realised that he had actually won 2 million Naira when he arrived at the bank’s Lagos headquarters.

Then, having won in Seasons 2 and 3, he expressed his gratitude to the bank and pledged to encourage additional people to start saving there. In his final remarks, Mr. Emmanuel thanked everyone who helped make Season 3 possible.

The bank’s primary goal is to promote a saving culture, and as long as the number of customers grows, it will succeed in this endeavour. The bank is appreciative of all the recipients for their responses to the saving culture.
