With major travel agents in attendance, the event underscores the importance of Nigeria to the airline’s wide global network.

Emirates Holidays, the airline’s tour operator arm, displayed selected holiday packages to Dubai as well as other popular destinations such as the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, and South Africa, in preparation to meet Nigeria’s pent-up travel demand.

Attendees also heard from important players from Destination Dubai, who provided a broad overview of what travellers may expect while travelling to and through the UAE.

Representatives from Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET) presented an overview of the extensive tourism and trade prospects in Dubai; the Dubai Stopover Experience team showcased essential attractions; the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) identified the city as a premier medical tourism hub; and Dubai Visa Processing Centres detailed the application process for UAE visas for both tourists and transit passengers.

The informative workshops at the Emirates Airline Travel Agency Workshop illustrate the airline’s dedication to restoring seamless and premium travel between Nigeria, the UAE, and beyond, facilitated by Emirates.

Paulos Legesse, Country Manager for Nigeria at Emirates, stated, “Our travel agency partners are integral to our success, and we have cultivated robust and fruitful relationships over the years, enhancing tourism and travel connections between Nigeria, the UAE, and beyond.”

In anticipation of resuming operations in Lagos, this workshop was crucial not only to demonstrate our premier products and services to these significant partners but also to gather insights from the broader industry regarding the latest services that align with customer demand, thereby allowing us to refine our offerings in Nigeria. We have ambitious ambitions and eagerly anticipate introducing our industry-leading products and services to the Nigerian market starting 1 October.
