President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will conduct the official unveiling, which is scheduled for 10:00 am at the Abuja Inter-Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton Hotels).
‘Sustaining progressive ideology as a basis of democracy’ is the theme of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s inaugural lecture, which will be given by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, who is also slated to host the event.
In a statement made available to reporters in Abuja on Monday, the Progressive Institute’s Director General, DG, Lanre Adebayo, PhD, stated that the Program is being organised as part of the preparations for the official launch of the organisation.
TPI is a Company Limited by Guarantee registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and the Ministries of Justice and Education have duly certified it.
The DG went on to say that the APC Leadership strategically decided to create TPI in order to improve its leadership hiring process by providing high-quality training, to bolster internal party democracy and governance, and to support the APC’s policy function, particularly through independent research.
As part of the APC’s initiatives to empower Nigerian voters, the Institute will create a blueprint for voter education that may be used in any season.
