For the thirty-three (33) Local Government Supervisory Councillors and Special Assistants in the State, the Oyo State Government has arranged an orientation session. Over the weekend, the workshop was hosted at the University of Ibadan’s International Conference Centre in Ibadan.

The goal of the induction workshop, according to Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, is to keep participants up to date on the most recent developments in local government administration.
Makinde urged them to be change agents while being represented by Hon. Ademola Ojo, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters. In addition, he exhorted them to make every effort to be the greatest in everything they did, allowing opportunities for growth in every area.
The Commissioner was especially happy that Oyo State has made such great strides under the capable direction of the state governor. This is a testament to the governor’s admirable traits, which have put the state at the forefront of development, peace, and tranquilly.
In conjunction with the current administration’s efforts to maintain high-quality service delivery and spread democratic benefits to the general public, the Commissioner urged the appointees to view their appointments as a summons to serve diligently with unwavering honesty, credibility, and devotion.
He cautioned the attendees to make the most of the training materials, which have been painstakingly created to improve their comprehension of governance. All of the state’s special assistants and supervisory council members from local government areas attended the course.
