In an interview with the media in Oyo State’s capital, Ibadan, Olumo made this plea. He declared that protest is not the answer to the issues facing the nation.

Although we have a duty to protect, we should also keep in mind what transpired at the End sax protest, which was taken over by evil people.

“We should allow the government to concentrate on alleviating the hardships faced by Nigerians and give them the opportunity to implement their policies effectively.”

“Much as Ugandan President Museveni forbade his people from holding rallies, the UN has issued a warning that certain nefarious actors may exploit protests. Kenyan residents have not fared well in the country’s recent events.

Every Nigerian citizen should be protected and kept safe in all sectors, including the country’s roadways, electricity supplies, educational institutions, and medical facilities.

Olumo then utilised the platform to ask all members of the New Era, both in Nigeria and overseas, to abstain from the demonstration and look for opportunities to further our dear nation, he said.
