The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari, has received praise from a network of community-based organisations (CBOs) in Nigeria, the Coalition of Ethnic Nationalities’ Rights Agenda, the South East Revival Coalition, and Progressive Yoruba Youth for Change for his efforts and openness in the distribution of food, fertiliser, and other farming inputs throughout the nation.

The praise was delivered by the CBOs on Thursday during a joint news conference that took place in Abuja.
Speakers at the conference were Comrade Olajide Olumide Adeniyi, Executive Secretary of Progressive Yoruba Youth for Change; Dr. Eberechi Okonkwo, Convener of the South East Revival Coalition; and Mallam Yusuf Khalifa, National Coordinator of the Coalition of Ethnic Nationalities’ Rights Agenda. Within the government, Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, is known for his honesty and openness. Under Kyari’s supervision, there has never been such transparency in the distribution of food, fertiliser, and other farming inputs across the nation, according to the CBOs. Sen. Kyari has shown a real commitment to improving nutrition and food security in the nation by emphasising justice and equity in the allocation of agricultural inputs such as fertilisers and food.
“We applaud his feeling of nationality. His equitable allocation of farming inputs has created a solid basis for a thriving and long-lasting agricultural industry. Beyond all measure, Kyari’s persistent efforts to transform the agriculture industry and guarantee Nigeria’s food self-sufficiency are patriotic.
“The issue of marginalisation in the country’s distribution of food, fertiliser, and other farming inputs is now history thanks to his outstanding leadership.
The Minister’s efficient use of resources has been crucial to the modernisation of the agricultural sector as well as to the harmony and tranquilly that exist on farms around the country. “We commend Senator Kyari for advocating for the liberation of Nigerian farmers, especially those in rural areas who were previously without access to food, fertiliser, and other farming materials provided by the government. More grain, fertiliser, and other farming inputs were sent to female and young farmers this year than ever before thanks to Kyari’s ongoing support for women and youth in agriculture.
“The recipients, particularly those in rural areas, are urged by this network of community-based organisations to use the supplies responsibly for the intended use. The government has always supported the agricultural sector since it views it as a vital component of Nigeria’s economic expansion.
Farmers need to support government initiatives by utilising its programs, policies, and interventions. “We implore the Minister to continue his strategic efforts, resource management skills, and visionary leadership, all of which have contributed to the substantial advancements in the agriculture sector.
“We remain committed to working alongside the Minister to strengthen the agricultural sector and achieve a prosperous, food-secure, and environmentally sustainable Nigeria.”
