Thank you for visiting The Vestigator, don't forget to share!
He handled the company’s embedded generation projects and strategic support divisions in his role as Chief Operating Officer before being appointed. In addition to his zeal for realising the goal for the Nigerian electricity supply industry, he brings to the position a plethora of experience and expertise in the power sector.
The company’s transformation program includes Chijioke Okwuokenye, an experienced leader who is well-suited to oversee the company’s corporate turnaround, according to Dr. Stanley I. Lawson, Chairman of the Board of Directors, who made the appointment. With his expertise in both technology and business, I have no doubt that he will continue to add value for all AEDC stakeholders.

Additionally, Olumide Jerome’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer was announced by the firm. He was one of the company’s Chief Business Officers before this. As part of his new duties, he will promote operational excellence and efficiency throughout the organisation. Nigeria’s Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) is a distribution corporation dedicated to providing millions of people in the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), Kogi, Niger, and Nasarawa states with consistent electricity.
A consortium led by Transcorp acquired 60% of AEDC’s shares in May 2023, at which point it became the company’s primary investor. In order to improve power supply dependability and operational efficiency, the company has increased efforts to update substations, extend distribution networks, and incorporate cutting-edge technologies since this strategic acquisition.
AEDC places a high priority on the customer experience and works continuously to provide value for all parties involved, all the while advancing the socioeconomic advancement of the areas it serves.
