MULTIPLE BOMB ATTACK, SANWO-OLU CONDOLES ZULUM BORNO STATE GOVT

The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed sympathy to the government and people of Borno State, especially Governor Babagana Zulum, regarding the numerous bomb attacks that occurred in the Gwoza Local Government Area of the State and resulted in several fatalities and injuries.

In a message of condolence sent on Sunday by his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu offered his condolences to the victims’ immediate families and to all the residents who might have been affected directly or indirectly by the attacks on Saturday.

The repeated bombings in Borno State, according to Sanwo-Olu, are unfortunate and disheartening. Thus, in this trying time, he prayed for love, peace, and consolation for the people of Gwoza.

He said, “I am deeply saddened by the news of the bomb attacks, which resulted in the loss of lives and the maiming of other citizens who were killed and wounded when suicide bombers attacked wedding and funeral ceremonies in the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

“On behalf of the government and people of Lagos State, I sympathise with the immediate families of victims of the multiple bomb attacks, the government, and people of Borno State.“I wish Governor Babagana Zulum and the people of Borno State, particularly those in Gwoza peace, comfort, and love at this time of sorrow.“I want to assure my brother-governor that the government and the good people of Lagos State stand with him in this very difficult time.”
